Oops, one more thing I wanted to mention.Quality of life is very important along this journey!Michele
Excellent post Ross...leaves much to think about. I call my primary Doc my Quarter back...I have seen him for 35 years and we are a close working team. He is aware of everything I have done and yearly I see him for the routine chronic things and a "pull it all together session". He has been my live saver and friend a good relationship to have!
What I want to know, Ross, is how you got your links to be clickable on here? I hope youre still around!
The links are clickable simply because I used HTML coding. I don't want to insult your intelligence if you understand that stuff (in part because I barely do), but you should be able to put any URL within the HTML code and create a hyperlink. Now, there's a chance that I can do it because I'm a moderator, but there used to be, at the bottom of any new discussion, a chance to change the settings so that either you could or could not use HTML. I don't see that option anymore. Hmm.
So anyway, if you don't know how to hyperlink via HTML, I'll briefly run through it. If you can't or it doesn't allow you to, I'll look into why. Let me know which.
Ross
Ah, Ok, see, I dont know how to do HTML coding. If you dont mind, I'd like to know how to do that or have the options to change the settings. I think readers would most likely click a link versus copy/paste.
Thank you for your reply.
OK, I just tried to write out the explanation and for some reason EVERYTHING lit up as a hyperlink, so I typed it in Word and reproduced it as an image below.
I just emailed the admins to find out what the deal is. In the meantime, give this a try.

The result should look like this:
Wow, thank you! That is the easiest explaination Ive seen. Thanks again!
I think it must be a mod/admin function. I tried exactly as you've shown and it wont go into a link when I click post. Will check back for any updates. Thanks.
I also tried following your instructions on another thread without success. It must take the special Ross touch.

Hi Ross,We get this book but,of course I didn't remember reading this. This is such a good report.Hubby and I aways go together. My PCP used to be such a stiff neck Doc.and always cut right to the chase about the medical.Hubby has "broken" both my Onc.and PCP with humor and personal conversation. We talk about vacations, what they drink, family stuff it's kinda funny to watch my husband work these docs.Really breaks the ice.I think some docs. get kickbacks on pushing drugs. My PCP wanted to put me on blood thinners for my A-Fib but I refused because it would have meant more meds. and complications with treatments. So people should know they have a voice in their own care. It's a give and take situation for me.I must admit I don't always do everything my PCP suggests. We also always hand carry reports from one Doc. to another, this way each knows whats going on with the other.Lets face it how many times have you gone to one Doc. and had bloodwork then another Doc. wants the same thing.None of my Docs. like the new paperless system. They say other then the weight of my files LOL it's easier to access when it's right in front of you. It's all abut teamwork. Thanks so much,Michele
